- The Champagnebath features delicate, soft bubbles and beautifully reflective light, creating a serene and deeply relaxing ambiance.
- The Soundbath awakens your auditory senses with stress-relieving sound therapy composed by musician Niels Eje. Simply lie back, submerge your ears, and let the therapeutic sounds wash over you.
- The Aromabath indulges your sense of smell with a selection of therapeutic and soothing fragrances. Discover the day's exquisite aroma for a heightened sensory experience.
Between dips in the water, enhance your relaxation on one of the many comfortable loungers scattered throughout The Thermal Baths.
Fire and Ice Baths
When our guests share their favorites, these pools are often mentioned. We encourage you to come and find your own perfect bathing experience.
- The Fire Bath is our warmest pool, heated to around 42°C. It offers a deep, penetrating warmth that relaxes muscles and enhances blood flow, leaving you profoundly relaxed. The red walls amplify the sensation of warmth. Stay as long as it feels comforting, then transition directly to the invigorating chill of the Ice Bath.
- The Ice Bath is our coldest pool, at a refreshing 8°C. The contrast in temperature with the Fire Bath has a stimulating effect on your body. The cold causes blood vessels to constrict, boosting circulation and increasing the flow of oxygenated blood throughout your system.
Tip: We recommend transitioning between the Fire and Ice Baths three times, but always listen to what feels best for you. Conclude with the Ice Bath to relax your muscles and invigorate your body, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Saunas and steam baths
Within The Thermal Baths, you’ll discover two distinct saunas and a three-stage steam room.
- The Forest Sauna is beautifully situated on a wooden platform above one of Vejlefjord’s many natural springs. Here, our skilled sauna masters (gusmestre) perform the traditional Nordic ritual of saunagus. During this ritual, they ladle water infused with aromatic essential oils onto the hot sauna stones, then expertly fan the fragrant, heated air throughout the sauna. This creates waves of warmth and varying intensities, often accompanied by cooling sensations. Known for its deep relaxation and invigorating effects, this practice is a true sensory experience.
- The Aroma Sauna, located opposite the steam bath, releases therapeutic aromas when essential oils are poured onto a clay pot, gently dripping onto the sauna stones, enveloping you in soothing fragrances.
- The Steam Bath invites you to journey through increasing levels of warmth and humidity. The fragrant steam gently soothes your body and muscles, leaving you relaxed and refreshed.
Tip: Enhance your steam room experience with a nourishing body scrub, available at the Vital Bar.
Conveniently located near the saunas and steam room, you’ll find cold water and ice tubs, offering a quick and invigorating cool-down.
Gentle Summer Rain and Mammoth Showers
Hidden within the granite recesses of The Thermal Baths, you'll discover special sensory showers that radiate well-being and offer a unique hydro-massage experience.
- The Summer Rain cascades gently from a height of five meters, enveloping you in a soft, warm embrace of droplets. Experience the revitalizing sensation of a gentle rain after a sun-drenched summer day as you slowly move through the eight-meter granite corridor, with the water shimmering in the reflected rainbow light.
- The Mammoth Showers feature twin nozzles set three meters high, delivering invigorating streams of warm water that pummel your body. Feel a deep awakening as the powerful jets massage away stiffness and fatigue, each stream offering a unique intensity to refresh and energize you.
Newly opend Thalasso Saltbath
In our outdoor thalassobath, you can float effortlessly in the warm saltwater. It’s a wonderful feeling to experience weightlessness and complete relaxation throughout your body. The salt content in the water is approximately 5%, and the temperature is 32 degrees Celsius.
Take a few deep breaths of the fresh fjord air on the sun terrace, or enjoy a refreshing drink from the Vital Bar.
Please rinse off the saltwater under the showers before entering the other bathing areas from the thalassobath.
